General Academic Strand (GAS)
The General Academic Strand (GAS) is a flexible strand offered in senior high school programs. It is designed to provide students with a broad-based education that prepares them for further studies in various fields or for entry into the workforce. The GAS strand allows students to explore different disciplines and interests while developing essential skills for academic and career success.
Specialization
Unlike specialized strands such as ABM, STEM, or HUMSS, the GAS strand offers a broad and flexible curriculum that allows students to select courses based on their interests and career goals. Students may choose from a wide range of subjects in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and applied fields to customize their learning experience.
Curriculum
The curriculum of the GAS strand includes core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, Social Sciences, and Humanities, along with elective subjects chosen by the students.
